From the I/O stage to your pocket: Google Flow keeps moving toward becoming a creative studio with AI that doesn't intimidate, but boosts what you already do as a filmmaker, creator, or musician.
What's new in Google Flow
Google introduces Gemini Omni and an experience with agents and customizable tools designed to accompany every step of your creative process.
-
Omni Flash: a model able to work from almost any input, starting with video. It combines the smarts ofGeminiwith Google's generative models to understand scenes, keep character consistency, and make more precise video edits. Can you imagine mixing real footage with generated content and tweaking a character's tone scene by scene? Omni Flash lets you do that and is available to Google AI subscribers worldwide. -
Google Flow Agent: think of a creative assistant that plans, reasons, and executes tasks based on your instructions. It's useful for brainstorming, suggesting dialogue or plotlines, generating simultaneous variations, and applying batch edits so a change replicates across all your assets. The agent is already available to all Google Flow users globally.
-
Google Flow Tools: now you can build tools and workflows using natural language. Need an image editor with a specific filter or an automatic video resizer? You can design it without coding. And if you create something useful, you can share it so others can use or remix it. All users can use existing Tools; Google AI subscribers can also create and remix their own.
A concrete example
An early partner built pixelBento, a tool to apply lo-fi and glitch-style effects. That gives you an idea: the community doesn't just consume, it contributes and refines tools you can then adapt to your style.
What's new in Google Flow Music
The music branch adds fine-grained control and audiovisual generation. If you make music, these are the updates you'll care about.
-
Precise section editing: now you can select any part of a song and rewrite lyrics, translate them, or change the groove of a section without touching the rest of the track. Perfect for those surgical tweaks that save the mix.
-
Full covers and transformations: keep the original melody and structure while transforming the track's style. A hit turned into a lo-fi study version? Done.
-
Music videos with
Gemini Omni: Omni Flash comes to Flow Music so you can direct music videos by talking with the agent, adjusting scenes, tempo, and style to match your song's narrative. This feature is also available to Google AI subscribers.
It's also worth mentioning that Google Flow Music integrates the music model Lyria 3 Pro, designed for artists, producers, and composers.
Mobile apps and availability
Google launches mobile apps to create on the go, complementing the web versions that remain the reference for accessing all features.
-
Flow app: available on Android in beta for people 18+; iOS soon.
-
Flow Music app: available now on iOS; Android coming soon.
What changes for you as a creator?
Fewer barriers between the idea and the result. These updates bet on fluid collaboration: an agent that understands your project, tools you can build without code, and models that preserve identity and coherence in video and music.
It's not magic, it's a more integrated workflow. If you're a filmmaker, podcaster, or music producer, you can prototype faster, try variations, and iterate without losing your creative thread.
