ChatGPT Work is an extension of ChatGPT that can gather information from your apps, create documents, sheets and presentations, and keep the context of a project for hours. It no longer just answers questions: it can break a big goal into steps, execute them autonomously, and ask for your approval when needed.
It's powered by the GPT-5.6 model and includes Codex technology, which lets it move between web, mobile and desktop to do real work. OpenAI reports that Codex is already used at scale and that its capability goes beyond code: finance, sales and creative teams use it for non-technical tasks too.
